rst Month of the Quality Career As a Green-hand
It has been a month since I flied to this quality forest as a newly-bird. It’s such an interesting exciting and indelible month that I decide to mark down this point. I hope to get more power and determination here, as well as your indication and encouragement certainly. It’s an American enterprise here with OEM/EMS operations. I started to work here as a QA assistant engineer in Feb 9,2012 ,since I am just a pre-graduate and have no experiment. And it was yesterday when I got the salary of the first month, excited. Time flies! I still remember what I came across and how I felt the first day here. It was not the first time I came to Shenzhen and the company, but I did have the basal training with the operators. I was shocked at that moment although I knew it would come true one day if I chose this way to go. It just told me that I would start to work in the plant and with them formally. Yep, I want to emphasis that I don’t look down upon them because I used to be one of them and I know how hard the life is now. I am even proud of them and it is them who provide me with a chance of playing as a manager. And it just illuminates that I will work in the plant and manufacturing industry. Maybe most family especially father and mother do not like it.After one and a half day basal training, I was guided to my QA department by the clerk. She is a pretty girl by the way, who separated me from the operators like an angel. Every one must wear working clothing, shoes and cap as well as ESD wrist strap before coming to the workshop. In the office, the clerk introduced me to the QA manager, a Hongkong madam. Then after being guided to my seat , I got several booklets with quality manual , procedures and other relevant documents in it. I soon found the computer system including the software ,e-mails and all most the documents are delivered in English. Oh, my god! It was so shocking and hard to get used to it. And then I began my self-learning in accordance with the requirements as the English list the manager had passed me. Soon I scanned all the quality policy and manual, procedures and the documents. And I knew my Master Wu ,an excellent engineer of the company. He then indicated to read the ISO13485 and focus on it. And he taught me 8D and let me initiate several CARs and PARs. The more important I want to share now is that how we came through the Supplier audit .The auditor, a senior SQE, was a woman and was hard to deal with. Every question she asked was very hard to deal with. The scope she audited was very wide and the depth very deep. She and my Master Wu communicated and worked very logically, which was what I had to learn. The audit did great benefit to help me understand the ISO13485 and how a company was operated, although I still quite understand the difference between verification and validation. And now I have decided to remember the ISO13485 in both Chinese and English version. I will read it in the morning, practicing my oral English. In addition, I have worked hard on knowing my colleagues. And I find not every one is good to get along with but I am sure I will work harder on it. The newcomers in our QA department are my assistant manager and me. And a great welcome dinner was held for us at a glory hotel. Yes, I have to admit that my manager is a generous woman, but she is a strict person, too. She don’t allow any public e-mail which I have written. Maybe I was too anxious to represent myself. I do feel it important to be low-pitched some time. Maybe I am a lucky dog to be here. I feel I will certainly gain something only if I could work hard enough. A month has passed. It seems I am so ambitious to move on. But I am still so confused and worried about my career,as the quality and manufaturing industry are not so good as most people say. That is to say,I do not take my defeat working in this way, because I am still a student before July 2012 and it means I still get other choice.
