Plan
Human mind invented the concept of future. We are the only animal on this planet that able to recognize that we could affect
the future by what we do today. That's the great strategy survial strategy of our species. [David Suzuki scientist,
Environmentalist, Broadcastor]
As quality people, we exprienced hostile attitudes, mockings, and frustrations. It's the right time for us to reflect our
failures and find a way to survive in this so-called career jungle. What's the strategy, it won't be difficult to find out
that it's in our nature, which make us survive dinosaurs, it's named plan.
Let's look through these questions:1. In order for quality to be integrated effectively, a company's objectives must be derived from the corporate strategic
plan. 2. Which of the following groups should have the primary role in establishing an organization's quality policies? [The
quality council]3. WHAT is the best way to ensure that information is conveyed appropriately? Using a communication plan4. Before selecting a supplier as a partner, a customer should do WHAT first? Define its own needs.5. WHAT should happen first when implementing a total quality management (TQM) process? [Constructing a mission statement]
These questions are quite theorical, aren't they. But reflecting frustrations that top management didn't support us, have we
neglected this questions? When boss is concerning about increasing yield, did we just lonelily push on the implementation of
TS16949 or ISO9001? Have we properly linked the benefit of quality system to yield increasing? From this point on, everything
goes wrong. From top to worker class, we gain no partnership with the same vision as we just set up a objective belonging to
ourselves which nobody would care if it success or not. On the contrary, peers would fear the new project would distract them
from what they used to do, and gains blames from boss. So the plan 1 should be get complete understanding and supporting from
boss first, who should get involved in the quality project and understand what benefit he could gain.
