Process Cycle------From <SPC>
There are three stages to do the Process Cycle:
1.Analyze the Process
1) What the process should do?
2) What can go wrong?
--- what can vary in the process?
--- What do we already know about this process's variability?
--- What parameter are most sensitive to variation?
3) what is the process doing?
--- Is this process producing scrap or output which requires rework?
--- Does this process produce an output which is in a state of statistical control?
--- Is the process capable?
--- Is the process reliable?
2.Control the Process
Processes are dynamic and will change.The performace of the process must be monitored so effective measures to prevent undersirable change can be taken.Construction and use of control charts and other tools will allow for efficent monitoring of the process.
3.Improve the Process
Additional process analysis tools,including more advanced statistical methods such as designed experiments and advanced control charts may be useful.
