Company Introduction
Type of company: US-Korean joint venture
Industry: Automotive Climate Control parts, including manufacture machining lines and assembly lines
Staff: 410 in all, including 71 engineers
Project Status
In stead of former diverse and immature classification, current projects can be mainly divided into hard and soft savings projects. At present, departments that are carrying out LSS projects includes: Manufacture Machining, Production Assembly, QC, QA, Manufacture Engineering, Purchasing and Maintenance department. And 2009’s Scheme is to promote total LSS activities including rest departments, focusing on soft savings and process optimization.
Current ongoing projects are mainly aiming to promote production efficiency, improve equipment, reduce materials cost and production waste, and increase materials availability. Others focus on reducing defective or scrap rate.
So far, two times of GB training have been launched, one is 7-day off-the-job training without projects; another is with projects, partly 10-day off-the-job. Both of the two trainings were led by BB from our group company. Totally 47 staff passed. There are 12 finished and 25 ongoing projects and 2009 Projects Plan is underway.
2009’s Scheme
GB training for one time, aiming to achieve 95% GB coverage rate (i.e. 68 out of 71 staff are to be GB)
BB training for one time, aiming to promote all department managers or responsible person to be BB (currently 13 in total and 8 passed GB training)
Project Amount: each GB is supposed to do at least 2 projects per year, which will bring forth more than 90 projects. And 13 BB projects will be opened in the second half year.
Financial Revenue:400,000USD
