Yes, I called NIM in BJ and basically they can do the calibration for us.
Our manufacture plant located in Shanghai. So I contact SIMT(Shanghai institute of measurement and technology) and get SIMT is the subject group of NIM which means
NIM is the owner for the "standard reference materials", also NIM distribute it to each province as well as some big citis such as Shanghai. As such, I prefer we can have SIMT calibrate for us as we can save more money for transportation besides the calibration fee. The rest key question is SIMT must show strong traceability to NIM on their calibration certification as only NIM has signed mutual recognition agreement with NIST. Now we're still discussing with SIMT and amend their certification.
So for your side, I think perhaps you could do the same.
Anyway, the bottom line is we can have NIM BJ do the calibration which is significantly save the money to NIST in US. Besides, there're lots of authorized agency or manufacture such as JGR in Canada or Optotest in US, etc. who can provide calibration service, equipment adjustment, repair on behalf of NIST, since their cost is also not cheap, though some of them can assign someone fly from Canada or US to China to do the calibration, we only keep them as an alternative way in case we can not find a appropriate source in China.
