An engineer is studying U-700 alloy for use in a product. To be acceptable it must have a mean of load failure that excess 10 Mpa. He performs a tensile adhesion test on 20 samples(in Mpa)(see blow data)
1)What’s 99% of confident level of the mean for this alloy (Hints: We are only interested on one sided)
2)Can we draw the conclusion that the mean of this alloy is greater than 11.8 Mpa? Why? (Consider alpha=0.01)
