The story below was written on May 2. During writing my diaries, I really appreciate my teacher for giving me valued advice.

The beautiful West Lake Park tour

Yesterday was the Labor Day. In the morning, One of my roommates and I planned to go to the West Lake Park of Huizhou to play. We arrived at the park by company bus, it was nine o’clock. A few people had already been there. The lake was picturesquely beautiful and set up in a very elegant environment with lots of blossoming flowers and sparkling green bushes. We walked around the lake for quite a while and took several pictures. Though the weather was cloudy yesterday, we had a great time nevertheless.

The Food Festival of Huizhou

After the West Lake Park trip, we were told that a food festival was ongoing in Huizhou until May 5. This news sounded very attractive to us. We started rushed there on foot and saw a big crowd and a large variety of food for tasting. There were singing and dancing performances as well. Sadly I couldn't eat any of those spicy and very appealing foods because my wisdom tooth was pulled out. Nevertheless, having a glance of so many different types of foods was a very memorable experience.

In the afternoon, I accompanied my roommate XX to inspect a home that she was going to purchase. Afterwards, I think she is going to buy it. Regarding house price in Huizhou, it costs an arm and a leg…

Overall, we enjoyed this international Labor Day very much. We didn't want to go home until nine o’clock in the evening and were looking forward to enjoying another holiday recess.
