Yesterday afternoon, I was told that one of my cousins gave birth to a baby boy on July 19, as new baby joined, which is a cheerful event for our family. Talking about our family, my grandparent has three sons and a daughter; however, none of my uncles or my aunt has more than one child, of course, I am also an only child.

In my hometown, it was very strict for parents to have no more than one child in the early eighties, if someone breached the one-child policy; government would punish them by tearing down their houses. However, in the past, I assumed that even though national policy allowed my uncles to do so, I guessed that they didn’t intend to have two kids.
