–Expected or historic Standard Deviation (s)
–Alpha risk, typically a= 0.05
–Beta risk or Power* = (1 –β). Typically (1 –β) = 0.80
–Engineering-significant difference to be detected (Δ)
–Alternative hypothesis (Ha)
